State Championships and All-Star Games

Ten officials were chosen to represent WNCOA in annual events this fall:

Ken Ballard, Tom Batchelor, Chris Hess, Gary Lott, Terry Stamey and Bryan Yates worked the 2A football state championship game at BB&T Field in Winston-Salem. Tarboro beat Carver 21-13 to win their second consecutive state championship. PICTURES

David Holt, Scott Smiles and Eric Usher worked the 2A soccer state championship game in Raleigh. Shelby beat East Duplin 3-2 after nine rounds of penalty kicks.

Jamey Tricoli will be the back judge in this week's Shrine Bowl of the Carolinas football game in Spatanburg SC.
